Check-In
Arrive on Time
To help us get you to your destination on time we must get your flight
away on schedule. To do this passengers are required to be checked in at
least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time for domestic
flights and 90 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time for international flights.
SkyAirWorld recommends passengers traveling with checked bags allow an additional 15 minutes for check-in.
SkyAirWorld reserves the right to close flights 20 minutes prior to departure for domestic flights and 45 minutes prior to departure for international flights. Passengers who have not checked in by flight close will not be permitted on board and may result in forfeiture of fare. Refer to ticket class and fare rules.
Photo Identification Requirement
For international flights a national passport will be required to be presented at check-in which must be valid at the time of travel.
For domestic flights, the following are the only acceptable forms of photographic identification which must be valid at the time of travel:
National passport; or
A motor vehicle driver's licence issued under a law of the Commonwealth of Australia, or of an Australian State or Territory; or
A document that identifies you issued by:
- the Commonwealth of Australia, or
- an Australian State or Territory, or
- by an authority of the Commonwealth of Australia, or an Australian State or Territory; or
An aviation security identification card issued by the operator of the aircraft or the operator of an airport in Australia
Children and infants are subject to the same identification requirements as adults, where they have an approved form of photographic identification. Exceptions from the identification requirements are given for children and infants travelling with an adult.
It is the passenger's responsibility at all times to have appropriate travel documentation and entry permits such as visas. Some countries may require proof of onward or return travel. All children and infants travelling with an adult require their own passport or should be registered in either of their parent's passports.
Baggage
Checked baggage will be delivered to bearer of the baggage check.
The total linear dimensions (ie. Length plus Width plus Height) of any item of baggage, must not exceed 158cm. Maximum acceptable weight of any single item is 32kg. Any item of baggage exceeding the size or weight limit will not be accepted at passenger check-in.
In addition to approved cabin baggage, each passenger occupying a paid seat is entitled to the following free baggage allowances of 20kg (or 30 kg for passengers traveling in premium economy class).
A charge of AUD $5 per kg will apply for any baggage weight in excess of the baggage allowance; rates may vary between sectors. Further details can be obtained from any of our offices.
Excess baggage is carried subject to space availability and hence may not be carried on the same service as the passenger. Excess baggage is only carried to the airport specified on the relevant baggage tag. The passenger is responsible for collection of excess baggage and/or any other related delivery expenses.
Total baggage exceeding 100kg will not be accepted as excess baggage. Such consignments must be processed at a cargo outlet at the applicable cargo rate.
When connecting with an international carrier's service, and holding an International ticket, passengers are entitled to the IATA standard checked baggage allowance (weight system), in respect to our component of the itinerary. Baggage in excess of our weight allowance is carried free of charge subject to space availability and hence may not be carried on the same service as the passenger.
All baggage should be locked. Items of value - such as money, jewellery, precious metals, negotiable papers, securities, business documents or the like - should only be carried on your person or in cabin baggage under your care. We are not liable for loss or damage resulting from inherent defect, quality or service of goods carried.
