Uepi Island is a barrier reef island, covered in rainforest, defined by fringing reef and sandy beach; flanked by the warm waters of the lagoon on one side, and the oceanic depths (2,000m) of "The Slot", a deep marine abyss, on the
other. Uepi has an established reputation for world class diving.
All dive sites along the Uepi Island passage, bar- rier reef drop-offs and bays are intensive coral reef ecosystems. The diving is extraordinarily varied with many and differing reef structures and bioassemblages.
